Bangalore Sketches

St. Patricks Church, Bangalore.

The view from my front door, drawn on a balmy afternoon.

Rosary Church was built by French Missionaries in 1980s in Shettihalli, near Hassan. The are now comes under a dam, and the church is flooded every monsson. A quick, rough sketch ... not come out quite well. Need to re-attempt sometime. Read more about this romantic spot here.

National Gallery of Modern Art

Renderings of the haunted house on St. Marks road. You can read the story here.

Elgin Talkies was built in 1896. Located in Shivajinagar, this is the oldest talkies in the whole of South India. It was built by Veerabhadra Mudaliar for theater shows. Later, his grandson Natesa Mudaliar converted it to a talkie. It's a shame, that such essential aspects of Bangalore are being demolished to make way for newer buildings ... very soon this city will have no soul or history left.
