Absolutely enjoyed making the snowman with newspaper, cotton and an old shoe lace. It was kinda last min, so didn't get anything for the nose n mouth ... but snowy looks quite nice :)
Planning to keep Snowy on my office desk ... and add a few decorations as well.

December is always the nicest time of the year ... with cold nights, light, decorations and lots of celebrations. And artists can unleash their ideas on Christmas cards, decors, daily diaries, gifts and so much more.
So happy crafting :D

Colors of Rajasthan

Watercolor sketch on A6 size paper. I am not too happy with the results, and plan to do this again. The central figure was done within 20 minutes. I did background later, in blue shades similar to those found in Jodhpur blue city.

This is a continuation of my Colors of Rajasthan series.

The View From Chaaye Stall, Richmond Road

A shop named Chaaye Stall is simply irresistible :) ... I spent a wonderful afternoon at the cafe reading books, listening to some soft music and doing some sketches.

I sat by the window, and took advantage of the bird's eye view of  a government school.

Also enjoyed some heavenly snacks and tea.

The Blue Hills

Ooty is famous for its fresh vegetables and fruits. These street-side stalls, with juicy carrots and tangy mangoes were a huge hit amongst the tourists. The colorful bazaar is a perfect place for sketching.

Colors of Summer

Its been a long time since I have used my water colors. Yesterday, I had taken out my set of acrylic colors and found most of them had dried up!! Kinda spurred me to take my brushes out ... these were done at done at the end of a long work day.

They are done from a set a photographs taken around ooty.
